Sector heatmap FAQ
Who decides the sector groups?
CoinCost groups coins by each project's main use (as of 2026-10). Every coin belongs to exactly one sector, so totals are never double counted.
What is the gold, oil & stocks block?
These are gold, silver and oil futures and US stock/ETF perpetuals traded in USDT on Bybit. They are derivatives that track prices, not actual shares, shown here for comparison with crypto.
How is a sector's change calculated?
It is the 24h change of the member coins, weighted by 24h trading volume. Coins that trade more count for more.
What does the block size mean?
Block size is the 24h trading volume on Bybit USDT perpetuals, not market cap. Color shows the change: red is up, blue is down.
Does higher volume mean money flowed in?
No. Volume and price change only show that trading was active; they do not measure net capital inflows.
